There are so many things wrong with this book. To start, the cover photo shows pasta - not Keto. The interior photos are low quality Black & White and do not always depict the food in the recipe. Example: the granola on page 26 clearly shows rolled oats in the photo (not Keto), and is different from the recipe. On page 70 you’ll see another image of pasta salad (not Keto) as the first image in the lunch recipes section. There is no corresponding recipe. Page 108 features a potato salad (not Keto). The portobello burger on page 28 calls for portobello mushrooms as the bun, but the photo clearly shows bread being used. Then there’s the awful, childish writing. Example: for the pancakes on page 55 the author writes “take out a frying pan and fry the pancakes on both sides”. There is amateur, bad writing throughout. While the cover of this books states it is “a complete guide for beginners” it does nothing to explain what Keto is, and features recipes that any true Keto expert would cringe at. What a waste of money!

The recipes in this book are so delicious. Also, I see that people are getting confused about the "5-ingredient" part in the title. There's obviously more than 5 ingredients needed. Each recipe has its 5 main ingredients, not 5 ingredients total in the book. My favorites are the jalapeno bacon egg cups, shrimp and avocado salad, and the Parmesan baked chicken.

This cookbook definitely helps me stay motivated to eat healthy and meant to benefit a beginner and change your lifestyle and it discusses where fats and calories come in when it comes to diet and weight loss and contains the following to help you meal prep keto diet meals effectively and inside this book you will find delicious and satisfying meal prep-friendly breakfast recipes,delectable and filling meal prep-friendly lunch recipes and much more and all the recipes inside are keto friendly thus geared towards weight loss and a healthy lifestyle and even I will be able to stick to my diet with these quick to prepare keto recipes and if you are short of time and needs detailed advice on prepping your food for your Keto diet, this might be the ideal book for you and i have learn everything to grasp to success prepare ketogenic meals prior to while not losing all the advantages of the keto diet and i have also discovered a way to mix the keto diet with meal homework to finally say good-bye to wasted cash time and energy on unneeded looking journeys and forgotten rotten food within the back of electric refrigerator and even i will be able to stick to my diet with these quick to prepare keto recipes!

I purchased this book because I’m on maternity leave and would like to stay keto. Normally I cook every day, but it’s harder now. This book gave a lot of ideas on how to cook things ahead, use fewer dishes, gives ideas for paleo keto, and other options on how to make the recipe different. There’s no pictures, which can deter some people, but I’m ok with it. This has made it easier to stick with keto, have delicious meals while doing minimal work and clean up. We even had some of the ingredients for a few meals in the freezer already! This is my go to book right now.

I love the information in this book, the structure, nutrition tips meal planning and such. Wow! Yummy! We saw the TV documentary about this diet and were impressed by the results this man got following this diet. The book is clear and concise and contains recipes in the back of the book. If you are disciplined enough to be able to fast for two days a week, it will work wonders for you. I've lost 7 pounds this past month, Fasting isn't easy when you really love food, but it is rewarding. Nice one! Great book is here!

What a beautiful, inspiring book! I felt like I was in Cortona, Italy WITH the author. She writes in such a way that I could see the soft nuances of colors on the Italian hillsides, and I could hear the Italian voices and laughter in the marketplace. I could feel the warm sun and hear the crack of the thunderstorm. I could smell the rain in the air. This book really transported me to the little village in Italy, with her. I loved experiencing the renovation of a very old and very beautiful home. I loved the sights and smells of the region's food and recipes they cooked up. What a beautiful book. I almost didn't bother to read this book because I thought it followed the same storyline as the movie that bears it's name. Thank goodness it does not. I found the movie to be tiresome and predictable. The movie completely destroyed the story of this book. It took a beautiful, genuine story and went "Hollywood" with it, thereby ruining it. But the BOOK! The book is completely different! The book is deeply thoughtful and emotional.... it draws you in with a beautiful story and keeps you there by transporting you into a lovely place full of authentic and warm people. I loved it!! Thank you Frances Mayes! 💗

It's not a new book, although the current edition was published after the movie, and the final chapters have something to say about that: all good. It's a fascinating tale about falling in love with a house and community in far off Tuscany. There comes a point in the narrative when it gets a bit tedious, yet it pulls you along to the very end nevertheless. Having spent a few weeks in the nearby town of Castiglion Fiorentino, I can understand the attraction of Tuscan hill towns and old Tuscan houses. There is a bit of magic in them. They gently float somewhere between the Renaissance and our own time, perfectly at ease with it. If you can't go and see for yourself, Under the Tuscan Sun will get you close.

So....so....so...hmmm. What can I say about this book. Uh...I think they got the title wrong. It should be "Food in Tuscany and where to eat it and how to prepare it yourself." That is really ALL the authoress cared about was eating and food...and I'm down with that but still...this was supposed to be about buying a house in Tuscany and fixing it up wasn't it? She did dwell on some of that...but then there were pages upon pages of recipes too and I don't cook! They belonged in a cook book not THIS book! Although Frances is a good writer I'll give her that...I just do NOT get how Hollywood gave her money for the rights to this book when it was NOTHING like the movie. There may have been a name...or a small incident like Polania being engraved into the cement of the home..but it wasn't what the home was named in the book! The screenwriters of that movie were INCREDIBLE. One of the best most emotional movies I have ever seen and Diane Lane was superb. Remember the three Polish men who helped her rebuild. And the really shy one who you could tell had a crush on her? So sweet. And the darling polish boy who fell in love with the worker's daughter? Not there! Her daft blonde climbing in the fountain friend? Nope! NO ONE was there! I related so much being single myself and yearning for the happiness that a partner can bring NO MATTER if you are happy yourself. It still is better to have someone in your life...husband, wife, partner who is there for you. But Frances in real life was married! And had been for years and years! I liked in the movie that a single woman would dare to do this on her own. But the real Frances had a double income! No wonder they were able to do this! But for these writers to turn this skeleton of a book into that heartfelt lovely film...well my God. Why did they even have to pay her for the rights? For the title? Again...there was literally NOTHING in the book like the movie. And this time folks...the movie...was better. I almost stopped reading this book halfway through (boring!) but plunged through hoping it would get better...but nope! And of course where does it end? How can it end as it is just a slice of life. But again, the fab writers of the film turned it into a beautiful story with a beginning, middle and end. Again, if Frances took any money for the rights to this book...she needs to give it all back!!! I give her three stars for her writing but the book in whole was probably only two!

I am a huge fan of the movie and was shocked to see how dramatically different the book is from the film. In the book, she has already bought the house with her partner Ed and proceeds to journal quite thoroughly about the renovation of Bramasole and in general, her experience in Italy. One thing that I did really enjoy, is that it reads in the same style as it's narrated in the movie. Frances Mayes is no doubt a master at beautifully tricking your brain into believing, with all of your senses, that you are anywhere she wants you to be but, it is slow. Since it is tremendously educational, I am committed to finishing it, however long it takes.

Having visited Italy recently, helps to visualize some of the descriptions portrayed by the author. The countryside and the Italian way of life brings you back to the place of your youth, and that simpler way of life. The genuine spirit of the people grabs hold and encourages your participation. I can honestly say I am envious of this life style, and perhaps in my next life time I will be fortunate to spend my years in such a surrounding. Included in the author's story, were some of many recipes she prepared while there.

basic telemetry book, very little regarding 12 leads. easy read. good basic review.

I love this book. My nursing school only briefly covered lethal rhythms. I barely had time to absorb what was really going on inside the heart. This was just the refresher I needed to really help me understand. I would also recommend it for pre/mid/post nursing school and those type A new grads going to tele floors. 😘

With Butt Ending R.C. Stephens delivers another amazing hockey romance. I love Sloan. She is amazingly strong and you heart will go out to her once her back story comes to light. If you've read Big Stick then you know a little bit about Oli already. If you haven't then you should just because that too was an amazing read. Anyway you see this new side of Oli when Sloan is in the picture. You can feel their connection yet feel that there is still a few missing pieces. R.C. Stephens did a fabulous job with bringing all those pieces together by the end of Butt Ending. You will laugh and maybe even tear up a little. I love how Sloan and Oli come together as friends and grow and heal together. You need to read this one just to see what I mean about Sloan and Oli. A fabulous read that I couldn't put down.

I couldn’t wait to read this book because I’ve been waiting for Sloane and Oli’s story and it was everything I hoped it would be. Sloane & Oli’s chemistry is off the charts, I couldn’t stop reading their story. Both have past issues they need too overcome in order for them too have their HEA. Sloane and Oli’s story will have you laughing, frustrated, tear-eyed and loving their sexy time. I truly enjoyed this book and characters. I’m really intrigued with Sierra & Nils book coming soon. An amazing story that will have you hooked from page 1.

The book was very good and I was enjoying reading it. Then I was about 80% done, Oliver said (and I quote) ""I promise you there hasn't been anyone else. At least there hasn't been since before the playoffs began. Since the day I can to see you at your Krav Maga class." I admit. It isn't lost on me that she is going to piece the facts together. She will realise that there were womEn in my bed after I slept with her. It makes me feel like a s**t" I bet you weren't feeling like that when you were inside them and Sloane was mopping around. HE WAS STILL SLEEPING WITH OTHER WOMEN AFTER HE SLEPT WITH SLOANE. I skimmed the rest of the book once he said that. The Krav maga classes began when 71% of the book had passed and in the book's timeline, we are still talking about 2-3 months after they things started getting heated between them. I am supposed to fall for that kind of guy? And after that, we even got to see him with one of his causal hookups at a party where Sloane was in with his zipper down. I was tired of the virgin/I have slept with half the country trope after hearing about it for half the book and thing revelation made it even worse. Am I supposed to like Oliver for trying to keep it in his pants for 2 seconds? And did we really needed to know that? We didn't read about him doing the act, so why mention it when 4/5 of the book have passed? To create drama? To ruin my morning? To do what every other author does and repeat the same material? And Sloane just accepted it.... Like, "hey it's cool that you f**ed other women after you took my virginity and got jealous over another man" The main characters are weak and they deserve each other. I hope that Oliver is not carrying any STD's from all the manwhoring he did. Sloane should have moved on with another man. Oliver did nothing to make me feel like he deserved a happy ending. He is a commitment-phoebe and he doesn't even have a solid reason for that.I would have given a second chance to series by reading books 1 or 3, but all of them feature manwhores and I am afraid that the author will continue with the same trope. In the third book, the main characters have a history, so I am already imagining the "hero" having slept around while the heroine has a handful (at best) partners. I am tired of having weak heroines who forgive and forget too easily.

Typical manwhore/virgin story. I like hockey books, but this one was just not for me. I just feel there isn't anything interesting left to explore in the manwhore/virgin trope anymore, it's all been done 500 billion times. Its just such an antiquated idea at this point, the whole men get to enjoy hot sex with anyone and women can't till they fall in love or else they are sluts, is the main misogynistic underlying message, and I just dont want to read authors who haven't evolved away from those antiquated gender roles. Also just a horrible HORRIBLE writing choice to have him sleep with multiple women after taking her virginity, there was absolutely no need for that to be there or be mentioned. Why not just go into the therapy thread from that moment? It disgusted me to know he was enjoying other womens bodies while she was depressed, and feeling rejected. I mean she already pined for years, why do so many books with this theme just make a game out of how pathetic they can make the heroine? I just wish a female author would give me their reasoning behind writing such a pathetic heroine, what am I supposed to find endearing or romantic about a heroine like that? Someone willing to put her entire life on hold for a "maybe" with a guy who has slept with half the city rather than look at you. Why does every heros issues have to involve them sticking it in a city of women to cope? Try something new for goodness sake if you are going to write this trope. There is just no romance in these types of storylines, especially when you piece together all the women he had in the bed Sloane slept in (even after he took her virginity), threesomes as well blech, hope he washed the sheets occasionally.The only plus I will give the book is that I liked that the heroine had a reason other than Oli for holding onto her virginity, and that she had a love before him. I would have gave it one star if she had been saving it for him, because he was a gross loser, and I dont believe for one second someone like him would ever be faithful or be ready to be a dad. I see many lonely nights with her kid in her future while he cheats on her everytime he is away.

I'm not a big book reviewer, but this was one that I needed to comment on...Theory is nice, but I'm tired of wasting my time reading literally dozens of books over the past 15 months that explain why I'm like I am (I have ADHD) but that don't provide practical, actionable things that I can do to get around my ADHD roadblocks.This one of the two books that I keep referring back to (the other is Your Life Can Be Better, using strategies for ADD/ADHD by Douglas Puryear--just one tip in Puryear's book has saved me about 100 hours this year). And, as I said, Pinsky's is the ONLY useful book I've read about how to handle paperwork & office organization, which is the bane of my existence. For a year I went with an intermediate version of her "filing" strategy and put my paperwork in monthly folders. I was just afraid that I'd lose something, as I always had in the past. I've since gone with the basket strategy, and it's working just fine. Try it--come over to the Dark Side...you'll never go back to (not) filing/stacking your papers everywhere because you are loathe to file them, again!No, the author doesn't have ADHD, but she totally gets us. I've implemented many of her suggestions, and I keep referring back to the book and implementing more. It's almost too much to digest at once. (Puryear's book is like that, too.)Yes, she tells us to toss a lot of crap, but when you think about it, we really need to anyhow. Purging really helps with clutter, distractions & the stress caused by all of our "stuff."She has some of the most useful tips for those of us suffering from ADD/ADHD that I've read. I can't say enough good things about this book.

I've now bought this book twice - one physical copy and one kindle copy - and I frequently refer to both. It has become THAT indispensable.Pinsky begins the book by demonstrating her understanding of ADHDers' difficulties using traditional organizational methods. And the book has a conversational, easy-to-read tone of voice and uses strategically-placed boldfacing & yellow post-it note style callouts to make the main points stand out. The book shows right away that it was created with ADHD in mind.The book primarily focuses on an organizational philosophy of easy implementation & easy upkeep. The content may mostly be specific solutions, but the solutions aren't the POINT of the book. They're just demonstrative examples, and many of them are good ideas that I hadn't thought of, or had written off as ugly or just too guilt-inducing.Not only does Pinsky prioritize efficiency, but she basically defines efficiency as "what works for you already" rather than "the most efficient system as long as you do it correctly" the way some books do. Most of the organizational solutions she presents are intended to blend in with the way we already move naturally through our day (the book gets 4 stars instead of 5 because of a few small lapses of judgment where she seems to forget this), while most books and systems demand the creation of new habits. This book isn't about beautifying your home or rearranging your life. It's about maximizing the USABILITY of your home by making everything easy to find and - most vitally - easy to put away. Because rearranging your house and upending your life & schedule is just not sustainable, as many of us with ADHD know.She does include some seemingly-counterintuitive tips - like reducing your number of tupperware containers to JUST enough for each member of the family - in order to force some new habits (this, for instance, would keep you from neglecting leftovers & force you to do dishes more often). She understands that will power won't make these habits happen, we have to make it easier to stumble into these habits than to do anything else.It's true, however, that not every solution in the book will work for everyone. Certainly not every solution presented worked for me (I could NEVER get rid of my CDs) but for me it did such a good job of explaining its philosophy of efficiency that I was able to reframe the general overarching lessons into the context of my life, my stuff, and my priorities. If you read this with the idea of "I won't necessarily take the SOLUTIONS literally, but I'll use them as a way to understand the PHILOSOPHY," then that's how you'll get the most out of it.My mother has teased my inability to put lids back on containers for pretty much my entire life, and this book suggests open-top, lowered-front bins so I can literally just toss things into them from across the room. Once you come across a solution like that, one that speaks to you personally, you know you've found YOUR organization book. And even with its imperfections, for me, nothing has come close to the usefulness of this one.

I have ADHD and have been rather hopelessly disorganized all my life despite the dozen or so books I have bought (and read) on the subject. This book has quite literally changed my life. I understand it, and Mrs. Pinsky understands ME. I now understand why the other books weren't effective for me, and why a few things I had tried (over-the-door hooks) worked amazingly well.This is not one of those books where you are supposed to spend a ton of money on organizing doo-dads to make all your stuff fit better; the first thing she recommends is that you throw a lot of it away. A whole lot of it. It is much easier to organize your stuff if there isn't much of it. Why didn't I think of that? The organizing tools she recommends are a hammer and nails and inexpensive bins you can buy nearly anywhere.The advice is brilliant- and you have probably never heard this advice before either- I certainly hadn't. I nearly cried with joy when I read the advice about the socks. My non-ADD mom has never understood my loathing of sock sorting and laundry in general. I modified the advice to fit our situation of course- oldest son has crew socks and batman underwear, youngest son has taller socks and ironman underwear. Sounds simple but it has made laundry sorting much more bearable at my house.The advice about the paperwork basket- can I tell you how brilliant this is? Not only do I have a clean desk because I am not afraid to trash the one important thing in the avalanche of papers my kids come home from school with; when I DO realize if have trashed something in error (like this morning) I can get it back. Ingenious- or actually common sense. Why didn't I think of this??I fortunately found this book when we were in the planning stages of building a house- I actually altered a few things in the house plan to accomodate the ideas in this book. I also threw out an unbelievable amount of stuff. Truckloads. I know the ladies at the local thrift store by name thanks to the nearly daily trips I made donating stuff. Moving day was a much more pleasant experience after throwing out probably a third of the things we own- things we didn't even need.And guess what? I can find all of my stuff. It all fits in the drawers and cabinets- In fact, I have EMPTY drawers and cabinets. It is a piece of cake to put my things away. I no longer buy things that I think I might be out of, I know exactly what I am out of because I can see it all. I even shop differently now. After throwing out so much stuff, I am much more careful about what I do buy- I consider whether I need the item or whether it will just become clutter and need to be tossed the next time I purge.Was it hard? Sort of. It was sometimes hard to throw away expensive items that I just didn't want or need, but after I got past the guilt it was a actually fun! I now know that I can find everything in my kitchen, the lid to every tupperware container, and every single item in my closet fits and looks great- how awesome is that?Someone came to see my new house the other day and said "wow- you are so organized!" For a minute I thought they were being ironic, because no one had EVER said anything like that to me before- but my house actually IS organized now! I find myself losing things less frequently, and when I do lose them, finding them more quickly because there aren't random piles of stuff everywhere with no home. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Ms. Pinsky for writing this book! I do think this book would be helpful for people without ADD, and everyone with kids, but for many people with ADD, this will be nothing short of a miracle. It is NOT much different from the 2006 book though, so if you already have that one no need to re-buy.

Great read so far, but it's really handy to go online and get a glossary of Chicano terms not normally found in Spanish-English dictionaries. Also always wondered why Rodriguez actually writes in English and his books are translated into Spanish

El libro menciona como Luis se mete en problemas, hace drogas, y se mete en gangas. Este Libro me gustò mucho por las palabras descriptivas. Las palabras descriptivas me pintan imagines in mi mente. This book was excellent! I read it in just a couple of days. Since I first started I couldn't take my eyes of what I was reading. The story is shocking and rude, yet interesting and mind-opening. It explicitly tells the struggles of growing up in a foreign country with everything against you and yet find the way to a new world full of possibilities. Excellent for tenagers, parents, and students.
